Dominating to the east the medieval city of Saint-Émilion, just 500m away, the vineyard of Vieux Sarpe sitting on a beautiful limestone plateau is situated between Trottevieille, the 1st Grand Cru Classé and Haut Sarpe, which is itself Grand Cru Classé.

Soil type

Clay-limestone on a marine limestone base with asters, which outcrops in places at the top of the hillside.

    Blackcurrant and black cherry aromas. Well structured mouth. Powerful and greedy finish.

    The attack is supple and the mouth greedy, ample. Fruity aromas.

    Beautiful aromatic freshness. The attack in the mouth is balanced.

    Round mouth with a melted tannic structure, the wine has a nice length.
